{"id":513,"date":"2025-11-01T12:04:48","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T11:04:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mglaerospace.com\/?p=513"},"modified":"2026-03-03T22:46:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T21:46:51","slug":"aviation-repaircomposites-stress-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mglaerospace.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/01\/aviation-repaircomposites-stress-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Airframe Repair\/Stress Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support the development of repair schemes and modifications for test aircraft.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform detailed static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis of metallic and composite aerospace structures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and validate Finite Element Models (FEM) for complex components and assemblies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide stress input and technical support to design and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare clear, high-quality stress reports and certification documentation in compliance with aerospace standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize structural performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentor and support junior engineers within the team (for experienced candidates).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Postgraduate qualification or internship experience in structural analysis is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essential skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge of repairs and MRB<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, load paths, and failure modes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience with aerospace stress analysis techniques (classical hand calculations and FEM).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as&nbsp;<strong>Nastran\/Patran<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>HyperMesh<\/strong>, or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with aerospace materials (metallic and composites) and manufacturing processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear technical reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desired skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of both metallic &amp; composite structures and failure modes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with aerospace certification requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programming or scripting skills (VBA, Python, MATLAB, MathCad) for process automation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10 years experience in aerospace stress analysis or structural engineering roles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience working with major aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 years experience in Airframe repair roles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Responsibilities Qualifications Essential skills Desired skills Experience<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[10],"tags":[23,15,24],"class_list":["post-513","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-closed","tag-germany","tag-immediate-availability","tag-munich"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
